Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar e Thom Yorke candidati all'Oscar

E' stato reso noto l'elenco dei brani in lizza per una statuetta come migliore canzone originale

L'Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ha selezionato le 15 canzoni originali che andranno a competere per l'Oscar. Sono stati presentati inizialmente 90 brani che sono stati poi ridotti al numero necessario dai membri del del ramo musicale dell'Academy. Tra questi spicca "Suspirium" di Thom Yorke, tratto da "Suspiria" e Kendrick Lamar e Sza con la loro "All The Stars" dalla colonna sonora di "Black Panther". Inoltre, dopo essere stata fortemente candidata all'Oscar come miglior attrice, Lady Gaga ha anche ricevuto la sua prima nomination all'Oscar per "Shallow", brano realizzato in collaborazione con Bradley Cooper per il film "A Star is born".
